New law no 17-97 on the protection of Industrial Property

A new laws 17-97 and 31-05 also provide protection of
- Geographical Indications and appellations of origin,
- Awards and trophies,
- Integrated circuit for a period of 10 year as from filing date.

Effective January 1, 2007, the official fees relating to filing of trademarks, patents and Design applications had increased by Ministerial Circular No. 3/2006.
